About

It seems I have been sewing all of my life. It all started with a yellow halter back in the 70′s! I moved on to all types of clothing, valances, pillows, Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, teddy bears, etc. I was always interested in quilts but since there were no quilters in my family, I did not know where to go. So I bought a pattern and cut out all the pieces with a rotary cutter (but no ruler!). Then I realized I had to sew those little pieces back together! So I put the pieces into a bag for a rainy day. Well, that rainy day did come and I was hooked! And my pile of tops kept growing and growing. While we lived overseas, I was able to send my tops off to the Philippines to be hand-quilted. What treasures, they are — such tiny quilting stitches! But once back in the States, I needed a new plan. So I called a not-so-local longarmer only to find that the waitlist was 9 months. Really?! I did a little research, invested in my Gammill and my new career began. I have been finishing customer quilts for 8 years now. Many of these quilts have won awards on the state and local level in the East. Now we have relocated to Texas and a new era has begun! With my unique way of looking at quilts and attention to detail, I hope to make many new friends and customers!
